Saving Spiders from The Pool
I'm gliding through laps, in my watery zone,
When a spider pops up, flailing far from home.
I scoop it out gently, with a poolside assist,
Set it on dry land - stay put, little guest! But this tiny swimmer's got other plans,
Scurries back to the pool like it's joining the band.
I'm mid-backstroke, dodging your splashy return,
Come on, pal, give my workout a turn!Three saves deep, my rhythm's all out of whack,
You're bobbing along, no sign of turning back.
What's with the water? You love the wet spree?
I just want my laps, not a rescue degree!Last lap, I'm beat, my patience is thin,
You dive in again with that spiderly grin.
Next time you're sinking, I'll wave from afar,
Chilling in my chair, sipping my drink like a star!
